A simplified electromagnet with unidirectional operation, ideal for low frequencies. The moving core is held in the activated position as long as the coil is energized. When the current is interrupted, the core is released again. The return to the original position is usually done by means of a return spring, which is integrated into the electromagnet or in the control device.
