This magnet exerts a holding force (in POWER OFF mode) of approximately 12 kgf, perpendicular to the steel capture plate with which it is in contact. The capture plate is magnetically attached to the body without applying voltage – thus without consuming power. The body is released from the capture plate by applying an electrical pulse, which cancels the magnetic field of the magnet.
