Brush motors
Brushed motors, or brushed direct current (DC) motors, are a proven and simple type of motor used in many different applications. They work by having brushes transfer current to the rotor via a commutator, creating a magnetic field that drives the motor. The advantages of brushed motors are their low cost, easy control and instant torque. They are often used in toys, small machines, vehicles and household appliances, for example.
